About Me and my Approach to Health
My lifelong passion lies in nutritional science and its impact on human health, particularly how real food and nutrients affect our well-being. My journey began with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from the University of Florida. After working as a pharmaceutical and industrial chemist, I discovered my true interest in nutritional biochemistry, which explores how macro- and micronutrients from food support bodily functions.

To deepen my expertise, I earned a Master of Science from Louisiana State University, where I researched Vitamin D deficiency and chromium's effects on blood sugar. Following my career as a research scientist, I completed the requirements to become a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist at the University of North Florida (UNF).

Since then, I've served as an adjunct professor at UNF and coordinated their Dietetic Internship. I've also achieved Board Certification in Integrative and Functional Nutrition from the Integrative and Functional Nutrition Academy and am a Board Certified Gastrointestinal Nutritionist from the SIBO Academy. Most recently, I became a Certified Functional Medicine Health Consultant (CFMHC) through the Kharrazian Institute.

Currently, I am the CEO and functional nutrition counselor at Food Centered Solutions Nutrition Counseling, LLC. My extensive training allows me to identify and address various factors affecting individual health. I recognize that each person is unique, requiring tailored approaches that may incorporate both alternative and conventional methods, in collaboration with their physicians. As the name suggests, all health improvement strategies start with food.
To personalize health protocols, I evaluate each client’s medical history, family history, medications, lab results, and symptoms. I am also qualified to order a range of tests, including CBC, lipid panels, stool tests, breath tests, and food sensitivity tests, among others.
